Interview with Broward Schools Superintendent Runcie
The Florida Department of Education is reporting that this year’s FCAT scores show 6,000 students in Miami-Dade and another 4,000 in Broward County failed the reading portion of this soon-to-be defunct assessment test. Broward County Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie joins us on the program to discuss these results and why he supports the transition to Common Core.

Miami Dade College hosted a forum on immigration reform this week. Panelists included Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart and Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen as well as local immigration reform advocates.
